Staking

Staking on the Picnic Network locks PICNIC.

Node operators get rewarded via the fee mechanism.

All other holders of PICNIC will receive rewards for holding PICNIC in BASKET. This comes from a proportion of the transaction fees of the PICNIC network.

Node Operator Incentivisation

To incentivise the operation of node validators a proportion of the PICNIC token supply is assigned to be distributed as rewards. Also, a proportion of the on the Picnic Network are to node operators as invested BASKET tokens.

After the assigned PICNIC incentive has been fully distributed node operators continue to receive a proportion of the fees on the Picnic Network, distributed as BASKET.
